Terms of Service
Last updated: Not yet published
These terms govern your use of Ledgent, the bookkeeping platform provided by Daniel Consultancy (“we”, “us”, “our”) for its clients, built and hosted by our software provider, TechBytz. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
1. Description of the Service
Ledgent allows uploading, processing, and reviewing financial documents, including AI-assisted data extraction, bookkeeping tools, and export of approved data to accounting platforms such as QuickBooks and Xero, as part of the bookkeeping services Daniel Consultancy provides.
2. Accounts and access
Access to the platform is restricted to clients and staff authorised by Daniel Consultancy. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the platform only for legitimate bookkeeping and accounting purposes, and not to upload documents you do not have the right to process, access data you are not authorised to view, store unlawful content, or attempt to interfere with the platform.
4. Third-party connections
Where a third-party accounting platform is connected, you authorise Daniel Consultancy to send approved data to that platform on your behalf. Daniel Consultancy is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of third-party platforms once data has been sent to them.
5. Data accuracy
While the platform uses AI-assisted extraction, all extracted data is reviewed and approved by our authorised staff before being relied upon or exported. Neither Daniel Consultancy nor TechBytz guarantees that AI-extracted data is error-free before that review takes place.
6. Data ownership
You retain ownership of the documents and data you provide. Daniel Consultancy processes this data solely to provide your bookkeeping service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the platform available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Daniel Consultancy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud where such limitation is not permitted by law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the platform for any account found to be in breach of these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
